I’m often asked the same or similar questions over and over in the comments. I’ve tried to compile a list of them here, to save me having to type out the answer every time!

Tracks / Go Karts

When you are you going to visit X track?

If I’m visiting a track, other than Sheffield, I’ll post about it on Instagram or Facebook. I usually can’t answer this question, as I’m only usually planning visits 2 or 3 weeks in advance.

I would like to visit every TeamSport track within the next few years though!

Do you prefer electric or petrol go-karts?

Petrol!

I understand the need for a company like TeamSport to be seen to be going green, but the e-karts are just missing… something!

Someone once commented that the electrics just don’t feel as dramatic! I fully agree and possibly that’s the biggest difference, they just don’t have the drama of the sound and vibration of the engine alongside you.

Camera Equipment

What camera do you use?

I use a GoPro Hero 11 Black with the following settings:

  • 1440p / 2.7K resolution
  • 60 frames per second (videos are exported in 30fps though)
  • Field of View: Superwide

Kit

What safety kit do you use?

Most of my kit is OMP:

  • OMP KS-3 Suit
  • OMP KS-3 Boots
  • OMP KS-3 Gloves
  • OMP Pro Body Protector

My helmet is a Zamp Helmets RZ-59.

Where do you buy your kit?

The vast majority of my kits has come from Demon Tweeks. My suit was purchased from Amazon and my helmet came direct from Zamp Helmets EU.

Videos

What software do you use to edit your videos?

I use the free version of Davinci Resolve 18.

I always export the videos in 1440p/2.7K at 30fps.

How do you add the timing overlay to your videos?

Whilst I have improved this process since I wrote this article, this roughly covers it.
I use a custom Fusion component within Davinci Resolve.
