I must learn to overtake!

This was my first upload to Youtube!

I wasn’t sure what sort of content I wanted to upload at this point, so added a simple lap counter, and the lap times from the TeamSport App!
There was one simple aim for this visit to TeamSport Sheffield – I had discovered on my previous two, unrecorded, visits that I must learn to overtake!
I only took the one battery for my camera expecting it to last for both sessions. I was soon disappointed to realise that it was just too old to cope – about 10 years!

Description from Youtube

Adult Race session at the TeamSport Sheffield track.
The track layout in use this time was the full-length international layout.
I’m now a TeamSport Grid member!
My best international layout time going into this session is 59.906, can I improve? Not in the first session, but I set a 59.444 in the second.

Although I’m a member, I’m still currently choosing to run only in the arrive and drive style 2x 15 minute “Adult Race Experience” events whilst I get more consistent with my times and get better at overtaking cleanly.

Lesson learned on this outing that my camera battery won’t last for both 15 minute sessions, so unfortunately only have the first of the 2 sessions for this visit.

But the main lesson – did I learn to overtake? I’ll leave for you to decide!

Some figures

In the first 24 hours, this video gained only 2 views. One was probably me!

I had already decided I wouldn’t mention the Youtube channel to anyone, not even my own family. I did not share the video on any other social media platform. I just allowed people to find the video naturally.

After one month, and with 4 more videos having been uploaded the view counter for this one hit a whopping 12!
